Welcome to ContactLensDocs.com...

The Premier Internet Site to Locate a

Contact Lens Doctor

The purpose of ContactLensDocs.com is to provide information to the public on CLAO member doctors (ophthalmologists and optometrists) and Associate Members (contact lens specialists). Patients thinking about trying contact lenses for the first time will be able to locate a doctor in their home city.  Also, in our very mobile society, people are constantly moving from city to city and state to state. Contact lens wearers can utilize the information provided in this site to locate a new contact lens doctor.  (Even International Member doctors are included for those leaving the country for a trip or an extended length of stay.)

Membership in CLAO indicates that these professionals are especially interested and well versed in the field of contact lens science. CLAO member doctors receive issues of the association’s scientific journal, Eye and Contact Lens: Science and Clinical Practice. This journal is peer-reviewed and referenced by Index Medicus and provides the latest in up-to-date information on contact lenses and vision correction science. Many CLAO members additionally attend CLAO scientific meetings to keep abreast of changes in the field and to interact with other contact lens professionals.

A second important purpose for this web site is to provide a source of generic information on contact lenses. This section provides useful information on many commonly asked questions about contact lenses and is formatted after CLAO's popular series of Patient Information Pamphlets on contact lenses.

This web site is owned and operated by the Contact Lens Association of Ophthalmologists, Inc. (CLAO).
